Abstract: | Architecture is a discipline which is a major contributor to resource consumption. It has undergone a continuous transformation and as a result of the advancement of technology, buildings have become more mechanical. Among large debates on environmentally responsive buildings the concept of Eco-centrism was derived which lays emphasis on humane structures - the ones which act as response to the site. Thus environmental awareness among masses to generate nature sensitivity is necessary. The Wildlife Interpretation and rehabilitation centre tries to aid the cause of environmental education and add an architectural dimension to the current scenario. In light of the present situation and the increasing number of human animal conflicts, an effort to bring about a realization among the people about the worsening situation of the environment and the need to protect the rapid extinction of many wildlife species. Also due to crimes like poaching, a large chunk of animals even within the protected boundaries are being killed or deeply wounded and there are few facilities nearby to give them instant medical aid. Thus the project would try to aim in this direction. |
