dc.description.abstract | In India, many workers, sometimes whole communities, migrate from place to place for work. Since they work at different locations and continues for a considerable period of time, they settle in these places for a long time (and different generation of worker family also related with same work). (R. Aswini,2016) Migrant laborers include both workers who have obtained a legal right to work, as well as people who have entered into a contract and are working without legal authorization. Also, in most situations, especially in the private sector or those who enter employment contracts are neither protected under the law nor provided with basic facilities like housing. Particularly, mine workers professions are associated with hazardous activities and have many health problems due to their work, for example mine workers. For many years, they live in a particular location without any proper facilities like housing, medicine, food, sanitation, etc. This study is an attempt to understand their situations, context, living and housing condition of workers associated with hazardous activity in semi-arid region and finding architecture solutions of the issues. The primary study will be focused on living and housing condition of mine workers of Budhpura, Rajasthan in semi-arid region. The literature study will give us different design consideration in semi-arid region and clear understanding of housing condition in hazardous context. | en_US |
