As an individual as well as collective cultural identity is a basic necessity for humans to have a sense of belonging. Culture has always played a huge role in providing an identity and even a way of life. Belonging to a culture helps an individual feels connected to other people having the same preferences, background, and upbringing, cherish their common heritage. The presence of historical objects like symbols, images, paintings & sculptures reminds of and strengthens their faith in theirculture. People of particular community oriented towards a same faith recognize & experience aconnate affiliation with similar pieces of imagery. Moving with modern era of technology we have forgotten our cultural backdrop. The presence of a physical structure belonging to a particular culture & history is a validation of its existence. Cultural centers represent cultural heritage & also help people learn about culture of particular area by providing access to these through exhibitions, public programs, publications and research resources. This project would celebrate Bundelkhand culture both by observing traditional festivals and occasions and through research opportunities. Objects become significant in the awareness, appreciation, and protection of cultural heritage and identity where they bear witness to history. The design intention is to propose a cultural building with a modern yet similar style, which is symmetrical and has a hierarchy to represent spaces. The design is based on concepts such as relating the site with a new contemporary style, non-conflicting design with the existing context, a space that would hopefully inspire the architecture to innovate their crafts, and an eco-friendly building.en_US
