This thesis project embarks on a transformative journey to rejuvenate Kuldhara Village, an abandoned enclave nestled in the heart of Rajasthan, through a comprehensive approach to heritage tourism. By seamlessly integrating architectural innovation with community engagement, the project aspires to infuse vitality into Kuldhara, metamorphosing it into a vibrant tourist destination while safeguarding its rich cultural heritage. At the core of this initiative lie endeavours aimed at preserving the village's architectural and cultural legacy, promoting cultural interpretation, and ensuring long-term economic viability. Proposed interventions encompass the establishment of an interpretation centre, adaptive reuse of existing structures into a living museum and the creation of venues for cultural performances and community involvement. Additionally, the project envisions the development of residential clusters tailored to the indigenous Paliwal community, which will serve as living embodiments of the village's heritage. By harmoniously blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary amenities, the project endeavours to offer visitors an immersive and authentic experience, while simultaneously fostering economic opportunities for the local populace. This interdisciplinary approach not only seeks to revitalise Kuldhara but also to position it as a shining example of heritage preservation and sustainable tourism in India. Through meticulous planning and collaborative efforts, Kuldhara is poised to emerge as a beacon of cultural revival and economic resurgence, epitomising the harmonious coexistence of tradition and modernity. The project's holistic vision underscores acommitment to honouring the past, embracing the present, and shaping a prosperous future for Kuldhara and its inhabitants.
