This thesis project investigates the collaborative potential of skill development centers and incubation centers within the context of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It emphasizes the design of essential spaces required for their optimal operation to support the growing startup culture in Indore and across India. The project highlights the symbiotic relationship between these centers, showcasing how their combined efforts can empower aspiring entrepreneurs and address the challenge of unemployed graduates. Focusing on the Indore region, the research explores the need for financial self-sustainability within these centers. It proposes the integration of recreational spaces accessible to the public as a means of generating revenue. This approach not only enhances financial stability but also fosters community engagement and awareness of government initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and skill development. By bringing the community closer to new startups, skill development programs, and government initiatives, the project fosters a collaborative ecosystem. Overall, the project presents a comprehensive model for a financially self-sustaining incubation cum skill development center in Indore. This model caters to skills enhancement, entrepreneurship development, and community engagement. It underscores the role of recreational spaces in attracting public attention, generating revenue, and amplifying the center's impact on the Indore startup scene. As a foundational resource for an architectural thesis project, this research provides valuable insights for designing an incubation cum skill development center in Indore. The design emphasizes collaboration, facilitates shared learning experiences, and promotes innovation. It also offers practical guidance for achieving financial sustainability through revenue-generating elements. This makes it a crucial resource for addressing the challenges faced by startups and skill development centers in India, particularly in regions like Indore with a growing startup culture and a need for skilled graduates.
