The contemporary corporate work environment has increasingly become a space of psychological fatigue, creative stagnation, and social detachment. The fast-paced nature of digital work, combined with physically restrictive and monotonous spatial conditions, has contributed to rising stress levels among employees—especially in the information technology sector. This thesis, designing a Corporate Office Space, Indore, is grounded in a personal observation of these issues during a professional internship, where prolonged exposure to rigid office environments resulted in emotional exhaustion and creative burnout. The experience raised a critical question: how can we reimagine office architecture to support not just productivity, but also mental well-being and personal balance? The thesis aims to design a corporate campus that responds holistically to the psychological and spatial needs of its users. Set in Sinhasa IT Park, Indore, the project explores how architecture can create restorative environments that promote focus, interaction, and emotional comfort. The design approach emphasizes the integration of natural elements within the built environment—through visual openness, natural light, ventilation, soft materials, human-scaled spaces, and green outdoor extensions. These components collectively contribute to a workspace that nurtures calmness, clarity, and connection among users. The project includes comprehensive area programming tailored to the needs of IT professionals, incorporating diverse functional zones such as open workstations, collaborative hubs, multi-activity centers, wellness spaces, and support services. Planning strategies are developed in alignment with national building codes, climatic responsiveness, and spatial flexibility, ensuring both operational efficiency and user-centered design. The layout seeks to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor environments, reinforcing a sense of spatial fluidity and emotional ease throughout the office experience. Ultimately, this thesis proposes a framework for the design of corporate offices that prioritizes human wellness as a core architectural responsibility. By placing users at the center of the design process, the project aspires to contribute to a shift in how corporate workspaces are conceived—not just as places of output, but as environments that support life, creativity, and well-being.
