A commercial complex development with retail and offices in the heart of the city is bound to become a prominent public space. Therefore it's important to design for the public in addition to the direct users i.e. office goers and shoppers. Moreover the site sits on the edge of the residential area and opposite to a metro station. As an architect are eternal struggle is to keep the society happy , so it seems criminal to build a walled complex that is an obstruction to the pedestrians and residents of this area. And why just a seamless flow of movement but also places to rest and while time away. To start with this study will look into what these spaces are and why they are elementary in creating healthy and lively cities. There exist design guidelines for offices and retail outlets but to design for public spaces one need to first study and understand the usage pattern of the people of the city in question. This study does not deal with spaces as large the famous piazzas of Italy but smaller pockets of open spaces that fewer or maybe just locals use and benefit from. These spaces are given character by the numerous activities that happen all day long - passing of people, a man selling bread, children playing cricket, old men playing cards. More often than not these activities are regarded as trivial by designers But if you look closer its these spots where these locals interact with each other, spent time away from worldly worries and live a social and healthy life.en_US
