Abstract: Life as we know it began with light. It is fundamentally necessary for the very existence of life. Electricity works with light. Photography captures light. Wireless signals travel through light. It has shaped so much of our lives and culture. It is a common symbol in religion and philosophy, it is found in our myths and rituals, and it is central to art and architecture. It is a universal symbol of life, and we also speak of death as "going toward the light". The aim is to create an experience where people can come into a space and interact with light. Light art is an applied arts form in which light is the main medium of expression. It is an emerging field of art and probably the most intense one. Thus there is a great need to give these artists a platform to showcase their works. It also educates the people about this art form and spreads the beauty of the astonishment produced by its art pieces. The museum also aims at unifying the art of lighting and the science of lighting and exhibiting the resultant in a creative and interactive manner under one roof. The user will realize, understand and appreciate the value of lighting inside any built space. They will also get informed with the efficient lighting technologies to enhance aesthetical appeal. It is aimed to have something for everyone so as to cater to curiosity of all. It is planned to be made a model for this purpose in the country.
