Abstract:
The two-day National Conference on Climate-Friendly Construction at SPA Bhopal concluded with insightful panel discussions on various environmental and sustainable development topics. Experts, including Padma Shri Mahesh Sharma, Janak Palta McGilligan, and other distinguished speakers, highlighted key initiatives such as community-driven water conservation, sustainable living models, renewable energy, and waste management. Discussions also focused on the role of indigenous architecture in reducing environmental impact, promoting eco-friendly materials, and fostering climate resilience. The conference emphasized the importance of community participation, circular economy practices, and the need for a shift towards sustainable, holistic development. The event ended with a summary of recommendations by Prof. Kailasa Rao, Director of SPA Bhopal, and a vote of thanks by Prof. Rama Umesh Pandey.
