Abstract: The Vyttila Mobility Hub in Kochi, Kerala, is reenvisioned in this thesis as a multimodal transit hub that serves as a thriving sociocultural center rather than just a transportation junction. Despite being one of the biggest and busiest transit hubs in India, with intercity and interstate buses, the water metro, and connected metros, Vyttila lacks significant public areas and has fragmented connections. By combining effective transit networks with inclusive, multipurpose urban areas that promote social, cultural, and economic activity, the project fills these gaps. The site, which is ideally situated at the intersection of important urban corridors, has enormous potential to improve urban mobility, stimulate local business, and encourage public involvement. The design adopts a multi-layered, people-centered approach with an emphasis on mixed-use integration, accessibility, community involvement, and adaptability. The plan envisions a sustainable, inclusive environment where public life and mobility coexist harmoniously. It includes multi-level terminals, public plazas, cultural and recreational areas, coworking spaces, and commercial buildings. Keywords: Multimodal transit hub, socio-cultural integration, mixed use integration, urban mobility, community participation, public space design.
