Exploration of champak story into motion comic

Abstract

The project focuses on exploration of ‘Champak’ comic characters & its stories into motion comics. Champak magazine is among the oldest child magazines and its comic stories and characters are popular among children in India. In this project, literatures based on Motion graphics & its history, motion comics & history of comics were studied & analyzed. After literature study Content analysis of ‘Champak’ magazine was done and various attributes of stories & characters of ‘Champak’ were found out. The concluded attributes of literature study and content analysis were used to formulate design considerations. The design considerations are used to design motion comic bible and to illustrate & design ‘Champak’ characters and stories. The designed stories are developed in motion comic format to convey it in digital screen based mediums. The developed motion comic bible can be helpful for other designers to narrate Champak comic stories into motion comics.
