Abstract: | Formal educational learning is one of the most ancient practices that human society has observed and practiced. The traditional learning method where a student visits a formally dedicated establishment to attain knowledge from a professional expert has recently experienced a paradigm shift in the form of virtual contents available at distant and without any proper establishment through online media. Although this new paradigm has been successfully able to promote and support student’s self learning behaviour by making digital content easily available without any boundaries. But students' learning experience depends not just on the availability of content but also on factors like cognitive abilities of the student, learning environment, the complexity of the material, and criterion tasks associated with the material. While most of these factors are taken into account in traditional learning methods, they are often unimplemented in online learning methods. Apart from these, the learning experience is also hugely assessed by the ability of information retention and the ability to apply that information to perform relevant activities. The limitations of virtual online learning like the degree of interaction and degree of immersiveness can be resolved with a new possible upcoming technology that is virtual reality (VR). This project explores various learning techniques and factors responsible that could be implemented while designing immersive educational content to enhance the learning experience of students. |
