dc.description.abstract | Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself. i.e. An Influence in environment or in a town or on the land. The Influence come due to effective objects. This research work, will analyze the impact of any landmark and the intervention on the surrounding area and how landmark impact its influence on any small town. A detail analysis is done for the same. It is observed that an industrial or educational activity influences surrounding area, due to huge migration. According to their need residential, commercial and others type of activities increases. Because of which the development of the area started. This research work will explore the influence of establishment of High court in development in small town. The selected Case study is of the small town Bodri-Chakarbhatha which is located 15km away from Bilaspur city, the district headquarter. A rapid growth in population has been observed from last three decades. This is one of the highest growth rate ranked town in the district. In year 2010 the High court of Chhattisgarh shifted in this town form Bilaspur city. After the establishment, many positive and negative influence were observed see there. Due to traffic congestion and land crises in Bilaspur city, many landmark, shifted in the outskirts of the city. High court was one of the landmark, which was shifted from Bilaspur to Bodri-Chakarbhatha. A huge number of people come from different part of state to Bodri-Chakarbhatha town for hearing of their cases. Employees of High court were also migrated to this town. Several facilities and amenities were required for this situation. But on ground realties was very different. In this work the importance of the class IV town as service town of Chhattisgarh state is highlighted. The purpose of the study is to analyze new settlement its types, spatial temporal changes of land use characteristics, asses the population growth and urban development and analyze the facilities and amenities required in Bodri- Chakarbhatha. Development of the town follows the all norms and regulations provided by the UDPFI guidelines proposal given according to the increasing population, gap finding and analysis and calculated requirement. The study further deals with finding out gaps by primary and secondary data. Finding out several reasons of situational condition and analysis which is concluded in proposal. The proposal will be helpful for the development of Bodri-Chakarbhatha.It will also minimize the dependency of the town on Bilaspur and other nearby towns/cities. It is an approach to make Bodri-Chakarbhatha as model town for others small and medium town. | en_US |
