dc.description.abstractThe aim was to see outstanding works of landscape architecture and to study the historical and contemporary public parks and places at Bangaluru and Mysuru. It included the attendance in the ISOLA annual conference and the ISOLA Green Heritage walks. The Lalbagh historic botanical garden was studied along with observations of Cubbon Park; Bannerghata National Park, Zoo and the Butterfly garden. The contemporary Public place (Orion Mall precinct) was studied in presence of its designer Mr. Rohit Marol, Landscape Architect. On way to Mysuru, we saw the rocky landscape of Ramnagar (Sholey fame), Gosai ghats, Bird Sancturary and the historic fort of Srirangapatna, where a short studio on landscape conservation was conducted by the renowned conservation architect Mr. Ravi Gundu Rao. He conducted a Landscape heritage walk-and-talk in the historic precinct of Mysuru, with a visit to the Kukrahalli lake. Chamundi Hills, Vrindavan gardens and Mysore palace were also visited.en_US
