dc.description.abstract | Examined in this research is how journalism programs incorporate social media instruction into their curriculum, how they put it to practice and what role does its infrastructure play in it. With the growth of mass communication and its need for its education it has become vital for us to recognize the need to provide the media with the necessary infrastructure for its beneficial and befitting functioning. It is as part of such a program in which the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION has been proposed. This building shall act as a nodal point for interchanging of ideas and information amongst media personnel in specific and general public at large. It shall provide the necessary infrastructure for holding of conference as well as providing for teaching facilities for training of new entrance into the field of journalism and mass communication. Apart from this the Campus shall also in house library and wide-ranging bank for providing extensive records and refreshing facilities. Last but not least it shall be possible for professionals to relate and identify and interact with the surroundings and their fellows for which there should be a relation between the indoor and outdoor spaces of the campus. Following the above this thesis report documents the conceptualization, evolution and finalization of the design reflecting the philosophies and various other design principles studied during the thesis. The report also includes various studies conducted for the purpose of the thesis and the inferences drawn from them. Lastly it includes the special acoustical treatment applied according to the requirements. | en_US |
