17th International conference on urban planning and regional development

Abstract

W.A.S.E.T hosted the 17th International conference ( ICUPRD )in Dubai .The conference was well attended by speakers from Nigeria Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Turkey, Taiwan, Germany and other countries. I gave a presentation on my research paper titled: Dimensions of Public Spaces in Indian market places: Feeling through human senses. It was interesting to listen to research works of other research scholars doing their work in different academic institutions of the world. An interactive session after each presentation was good for knowledge sharing among the participants. Common issues related to Town planning, traffic, waste water management, construction techniques on hill areas was also discussed during the presentations. Dubai city is a fine example of Landscape and Urban Design. The world’s tallest man made structure, Burj Khalifa, is a delight to watch and one cannot afford to miss this Architectural marvel while in the city, specially the Architects.
