Study tour report 3rd year B. Arch

Abstract

An academic tour of third year architecture students was conducted from 9 Dec to 19 Dec 2015 to the various places of interests and study in Delhi, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh with a special focus on themes of design studio of the coming sixth semester. The study aspects of the complete tour was planned beforehand by giving students various plans, elevations, section of buildings/works to be studied during the tour. The eminent and legendary structural designer Mr. Mahendra Raj generously spent almost 2 days with SPA Bhopal students by sharing his experiences and anecdotes from his critical practice. Mr. Raj specifically invited SPA Bhopal students as special guests to the conference on “Structure: An essence of architecture” at IIC New Delhi.
