Battle of Saraighat

Abstract

This thesis project focuses on the creation of a graphic novel that aims to showcase the rich history and traditions of Northeast India, with a particular emphasis on accurate portrayal. The project explores one specific historical event, namely, "The Battle of Saraighat," which holds significant historic value in the region of Assam. The objective is to represent this historic battle through visual storytelling techniques that capture the essence and visual language unique to the region. By employing authentic visual elements indigenous to Assam, the graphic novel seeks to present an accurate portrayal of the Battle of Saraighat. The project aims to provide readers with a captivating and immersive experience, enabling them to delve into the historical context, significance, and cultural nuances associated with this historic event.
