Digital design intervention for access controlling and wayfinding system for visitors coming to the c-dac building

Abstract

In commercial buildings surveillance systems do not only protect the workplace but also the workers. Mostly commercial buildings have security guards and other surveillance tools, but it is impossible for the guards to assure complete protection from all the potential threats. In C-DAC building, visitors who are familiar with the office, sometimes misuse the lack of oversight in security system and visit other departments without any permission. And those who visit the building for the first time, and are unfamiliar with the office building, due to the lack of signages and wayfinding system, sometimes they go in wrong departments. The organization wants to establish a system to track the visitors’ activities and guide them to their respective destination department.
