Abstract

As a classical musician from Agra Gharana, I always wanted to work towards promotion and preservation of my culture. Its very ironical that Uttar Pradesh inspite of being rich in cultural hertitage does not have any cultural centres to experience these elements live. There is a need to document these cultures and design a space that represents it. The subject development opportunity is a site of 5.6 Ha which is a part of the 500 Hectare of Jaypee Greens Wish Town on the Agra end of the Yamuna Expressway connecting Noida to Agra. The intent is to develop a Cultural cum Exhibition Center to service the needs of local residents of the Town ship as well as visiting Tourists whilst creating facilities to attract a new segment of MICE (Marriages, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) travelers, domestic as well as overseas.
