Sugamya Bharat abhiyan

Abstract

An introductory session on SUGAMYA BHARAT ABHIYAN was presented by Mr. Mukesh Jain, Joint Sec, MSJE, for architecture and planning students and faculty members at SPA Bhopal. The session explained the vision and mission of the Accessible India Campaign to have an inclusive physical environment in which equal opportunities and access is provided for equitable growth and development to help enable Persons with Disabilities to lead productive, safe and dignified life. SUGAMYA BHARAT ABHIYAN, as a nationwide flagship campaign for achieving universal accessibility for Persons with Disabilities and to create an enabling and barrier free environment, with a focus on three verticals: Built Environment; Public Transportation and Information and Communication Technologies. The event was attended by a few MANIT students and faculty as well. Further, a meeting was held with Mr. Jain and Director, Dean (Academic affairs), Dean (Student affairs), HOD architecture and few faculty members of SPA, Bhopal on the SUGAMYA BHARAT ABHIYAN.
