dc.description.abstractThe National School of Drama, situated in New Delhi is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. Its Bangalore Regional Resource Centre of NSD is now proposed to function as a full fledge national drama school and has been allotted three acres of land for this purpose in Kalagrama, Bangalore. The project will aim to create an environment conducive to the learning of dramatic arts and provide a communication platform between students, faculty and theatre professionals. It will comprise of a wide variety of performance spaces for students to get accustomed to various formats of presentation, academic spaces and resources along with technical departments. Also, the project will include hostel facilities for the students. The overall approach will be to encourage creative spirit of people who utilise the campus by creating spaces that facilitate interaction and exchange of ideas.en_US
