Abstract:
Convention Centers generate significant economic, political, and social issues for
theoretical and applied studies, yet there is limited literature in this area. The issues
include feasibility and funding, design and construction, and operations and marketing.
In the last decade or so India has been high on charts of developing countries. India
soon will be able to compete with the best of international market, in many industries
including meeting, exhibitions industry by attractive business arising from international
summits, accords or conventions. Currently the meetings and convention industry in
India is growing rapidly. From the current events in conferences, it is clearly seen that
India has been increasingly selected as venue for international conferences. Therefore
there is need of places in our country to cater such grand scale events.
There is a need for the facilities that can compete with international stature to
accommodate the different types of clients such events bring in. the user group for
these conventions and conferences are both Indian and foreigners. It is important to
note that the money spent by participants for such events plays a major part in
economic and socio-economic development of the country. Also convention centers
offer vast opportunity to the entrepreneurs, importers and exporters to fro a network with
fellow counterparts both within and outside India while having direct exposure and
interaction with their prospective customers to take business to newer heights.
Since Amravati is most ambitious project of India and going to be a hub for investments
there is need for spaces to organize these conferences and meetings.
The setting up of the convention centre will help in further capitalizing the vast
entrepreneurial spirit of the region b providing a single platform to showcase Indian
products at international level.
Convention centers offer large floor area where several thousand attendees can attend
the event at a distinct time. Convention centers are also used for entertainment
purposes such as concerts and dance shows. It is also been referred as multi-purposeConvention Centre @MICE Hub, Amravati

building. An International Convention Centre caters to delegates representing top
expertise in their respective fields and is specially designed aiming to provide a
conductive environment for holding conferences , workshops , lectures , panel
discussions etc. India is growing economy and thus is increasing tourism. India is
competing internationally in all. To cater in this industry India need to develop and
provide with the best facility which would be world class. The industry should be able to
accommodate different category of clients and deal with local, national and international
attendees. India is developing in this area rapidly, there are number of international
convention centres coming up. The quality of services is being improvised with every
new proposal. Proposal of an international convention centre is an example of
developing India.
The design of project has been focused on representing ancient history of Amaravti
through modern form and represents the glory of city.
