dc.description.abstract The forts in Maharashtra had significant importance in Maratha history, in which Vidarbha also had a significant role. Vidarbha has a rich history dating back from the 1st-century Satvahava dynasty ruled here than from 3rd-4th century Vakataka dynasty was ruled followed by them Vidarbha region was under the control of Yadava dynasty and Rashtrakuta dynasty etc. During the Medieval Period, fortifications were an important part of each province's military system. As a result of having powerful foes on all sides, the Bahmanis made significant contributions to military architecture. Gawilgarh fort is one of the military forts in Vidarbha constructed by Bahmanis and this fort in the western Vidarbha region played a prominent role in the politics of the Vidarbha region as it was the military centers of various dynasties. The fort has various heritage structures constructed by each dynasty who ruled from this fort. The main aim of thesis is to prepare maintenance plan for these heritage structures in the fort which has rich architecture and prepare a visitors movement plan for visitors so that fort whole fort will be explored by visitors so that they can explore rich heritage of that era and understand importance of fort. en_US
