Abstract:
Naxalism is the most significant political movement since independence, this movement started from naxalbari village in West Bengal, in 1967. Today Naxal expanded its activities covering over 460 police stations in 160 districts across 14 states despite the police force and infrastructure having grown manifold during this period. Much of the unrest n society especially that which has given rise to naxalite movements is linked to lack of acess to the basic resources to sustain livelihood. This paper presents a study where the planning aspects of development of naxal affected backward districts. The goal of the study is to find out development potentials in thes areas and treatment of these areas using planning techniques by using primary survey and availability of required data. Provide the basic needs and facilities to transform the naxal area into the peace and developed area, by using local potential and by using industrial techniques.
