Abstract:
This thesis critically analyses curriculum development for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) programs at NCOE AVGC Mumbai, a nascent institute poised to empower India's burgeoning AVGC sector. Recognizing the crucial role of education in nurturing a skilled AVGC workforce, this research investigates the design of a Specific Learning Environment at NCOE for AVGC, Mumbai. Recognizing the evolving needs of 21st-century learning, the thesis proposes a novel architectural design that promotes creativity, collaboration, and interdisciplinary learning.
Through a comprehensive analysis of existing facilities, user needs, and pedagogical trends, the design prioritizes flexibility, sustainability, and technological integration. The thesis utilizes site analysis, user surveys, and case studies of successful learning spaces to inform the design proposal.
Drawing upon these insights, the thesis proposes a design for enhancing industry alignment, fostering a more holistic learning experience. This approach aims to create a dynamic and stimulating learning environment that creativity, collaboration, and interdisciplinary learning for NCOE Mumbai students. To ensure NCOE AVGC Mumbai's curriculum equips graduates to thrive in the rapidly evolving AVGC landscape, propelling India's position as a global AVGC leader.
