dc.description.abstract The Warli community, residing in the Western Ghats of India, is renowned worldwide for its vibrant and captivating Warli art. Their distinctive style of storytelling, using simple figures, geometric patterns, and natural pigments, has garnered worldwide praise. Although in recent times, the rapid pace of modernization and globalization has threatened to erode traditional ways of life and cultural identity of the community. The ancestral art form is being exploited through rampant plagiarism and unethical commercialization, diluting its value and diminishing the legacy of the Warli artisans. The idea is to propose an empowerment center for uplifting and development of the Warli community through architecture in order to bridge the gap between the Warli community, their art and their audience. The design intervention will serve as a bridge, fostering cultural preservation, economic opportunity, and social cohesion for the Warli people. en_US
