dc.description.abstract We are living in the times when artists need managers and professionals to organize the trade of their art. Art is no longer just an artist's cynicism, lust or a venture to seek satisfaction, but today it answers social questions and takes into account economy with other contextual factors. There had been a transition of art forms, from subjective to objective. Art is available for all and portrayed in almost all the hemispheres of human life. Clothing being one of them. To practise this art-dissemination, an organized system works at strategic levels. There are fashion schools that propagate 'fashion and technology education'. Apart from, endowing required skills, they provide one with a complete environment to acquire an all-round attitude to produce, manage and sell art. Moreover, one has to act in accordance to receive license to commercialize the product. Demand is not just on the local but national level that directly or indirectly forms a central frame and establishes markers to perform on world stage. Hence, it becomes necessary to understand the expectations from these fashion schools and design an atmosphere inside that caters to the desired values in the end. This paper presents an exploration of such an environment with NIFT Panchkula being the subject of experimentation. This would take into account not just the fashion industry but the context of city of Panchkula and vicinity in terms of climate and imageability. en_US
